Adel-Cook 10U All-Stars, 2024 State Champs!

Adel-Cook 10U All-Stars, 2024 State Champs!
Congratulations to the Adel-Cook Recreation Department’s 10U All-Star football team! They won the 2024 Class C 10U Football State Championship on Sunday, Dec. 8, in Carrollton.
During the State Tournament, Adel-Cook 10U, the 2024 District 3 champs, advanced with a 28-22 win over Appling County.
The local guys then played Bowdon for the State Championship on Sunday. Cook won 29-7 over Bowdon. They are the first 10U state football champs in Cook County history. They were undefeated this season.
The ACRD 10U Football All-Stars who played in the state tournament are Jahill Austin, Lebray Berrian, Bowen Boatner, Mitchell Brown, Khayleen Carnegie, Brantlee Davis, Tashaud Davis, Dwellis Jackson, Aai’Dyn Loftly, William Loftly, Brayden Luden, Cole Martin, Carson McBean, Kaiden McCall, Eric Nelson, Marcus Nelson, Raphael Stevenson, Drew Thomas, and Riley Tucker.
The Head Coach is Frank Carter. The coaches are Chandral (Chump) Brown, Ladale Abernathy, and Lee Davis.
Cook High School Head Football Coach Dr. Byron Slack attended the championship game. These talented young athletes offer a bright future for the CHS Hornet Football program.
Frank Carter also was head coach of the Blackhawks, the ACRD 10U Football Champs. He was joined by coaches Chump Brown, Ladale Abernathy, and Lee Davis.
2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the Blackhawks. The first coach was Jack Carter, Frank’s father.
