Big win over A State Champions; first victory against Trojans since 2010

Congratulations to the Cook High Hornets! They fought back on Friday night to win 32-28 over the Brooks County Trojans, reigning state champs in their class. Great game! The outcome was the first Hornet victory against the Trojans in a dozen years.

In the next home game this Friday night, Sept. 9, the Hornets will face the so-far undefeated Clinch County Panthers. Start time will be at 7:30 p.m. at Cook Memorial Stadium Veterans Field.
The Hornets will be observing Armed Forces Night. Active and retired military members may wear their uniforms for free entry.
The Hornets will also be honoring our very own, the late Sgt. Briand Williams, of the CHS Class of 2002.
