Hornets crush Pelham and next face ‘Cats in ‘Death Valley’

With a tremendous intro by the Cook High cheerleaders and band, the Hornets storm onto Cook High Memorial Stadium Veterans Field to start their home opener vs. Pelham. New Head Coach, Dr. Byron Slack led cook to an overwhelming 55-7 gridiron victory over the visiting Hornets team. The game was split between Friday night and Saturday morning as the result of a lightning delay that postponed the evening’s outcome. Cook will face a big challenge Friday night as they face the Valdosta Wildcats at Basemore/Hyder Stadium, a.k.a “Death Valley” in Valdosta. Come out and support your hometown team!
