William “Bill” Thomas Valentine, 45
William “Bill” Thomas Valentine, age 45, of Lakeland, formerly of Sparks passed away at South Georgia Medical Center, on June 23, 2026. He was born on July 22, 1980, in Bedford, Pennsylvania, and he lived a life marked by devotion, service, and a spirited love for the people around him. Bill’s life was one of service to others, and he gave generously of himself to his family, his country, and his community.
Bill served in the United States Army and was a proud 20-year decorated E7 Army Military Veteran. His military career reflected his strength, discipline, and commitment to duty, and the many honors he received stand as a testament to his remarkable service.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Valentine; his son, William Arol Valentine; his mother, Sheryl Grasso; his father, S. L. Anderson; and his sisters, Shasta Horne, Ash Anderson, and Katlyn Anderson. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Oliver Valentine; his grandparents, Jack and Inez Bean; and Hank Singletary, Jr. Though his passing leaves a deep void, Bill’s life was one of meaning, honor, and enduring affection.
He will be remembered for his service, his humor, his loyalty, and the unmistakable presence he brought to every relationship. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever treasure the love, courage, and friendship he shared so freely.
Funeral services were held Monday June 29, 2026 at Purvis Funeral Home with the Patriot Guard Riders attendance. Interment followed with full military rites at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Moultrie. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com.
