Ronnie Young, 82

Ronnie Young, 82,  of Adel, passed away on June 24, 2026. Ronnie was born July 20, 1943 in Plant City, Fl. to the late Lemuel & Erma Kennedy Young.

His grandchildren treasured every moment spent with their Grandaddy—from their monthly trips to the car auctions growing up to the simple joy of spending time together at his home in Georgia. Those adventures became cherished traditions and memories they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Ronnie’s love wasn’t always spoken; it was shown through his presence, his time, and the countless moments that made life richer simply because he was there.

He is survived by his three daughters; Lori Young, Linda Waddle and her husband, Roger, and Tonya Tolar and her husband, Chris; his sisters, Barbara Creech and Doris Foster; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.  He has countless nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erma Voyles and Lemuel S. Young; his wife of 18 years, Sylvia Muniz; his daughter, Lisa Porter; his brothers, James Young, L.T. Young, and Lavone Young; his sister, Lucile Lackey, and the love of his life of 15 years, Janet Kirby who he loved and missed dearly.

A memorial service to celebrate Ronnie’s life will be held at Liberty Faith Holiness Church, 634 Cook Rd. Moultrie, GA 31788 on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM with his beloved nephew, Jose Muniz, giving the eulogy. Dinner will be provided following the service.
