Ramonda “Monie” Marshall, 88

Mrs. Ramonda “Monie” Marshall, age 88, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on April 22, 2026 at the HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Marshall was born on February 13, 1938 in Berrien County to the late Wiley Franklin Horne and the late Toy Gladys Crosby Horne. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Marshall is survived by her husband, Elder Dwight Marshall of Adel; two daughters and sons-in-law: Pam and Mario Lagrange of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and Lynn and Pete Swengel of Thomasville, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Ashley and Eric Mitchell of Thomasville; Evan and Jessica Wood of Ochlocknee, Georgia; Amanda Wood of Thomasville; Dominique and Audrey-Anne Lagrange of Quebec City, Canada; Madison and Jeremy Rice of Nashville, Tennessee; Zane Varn Marshall and fiancée, Carlee Aldridge, of Monticello, Florida; and Lindsey Marshall of Valdosta, Georgia; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Elder Barry Marshall; one brother, Harry Horne; and five sisters: Laura Collins, Gladys Simmons, Sara Harbin, Frankie Ledbetter and Edna Swilley.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Salem Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Tony Marshall officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Evan Wood, Zane Marshall, Fred Wetherington, Eric Mitchell, Jeremy Rice and Tommy Marshall served as pallbearers. The congregation sang “The Lord Is My Shepherd” and “Thus Far the Lord Has Led Me On”. Visitation took place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Boone Funeral Home; 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia.
