Estella T. Churn, 84

Estella T. Churn was born on January 21, 1939, and on January 18, 2024, she answered the Master’s call. 

Estella was a person who loved people, especially her children. She was a Pink Lady for Adel Memorial Hospital for many years, a member of the Red Hat Society, a Lenox City Council Woman for many years and the Mother of her church, Freedom Worship Church. She was a person of love and service. She served the people well. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Churn; her son, Michael Temple; stepdaughter, Gina Traylor-Fullwood, and her brother, Johnny Temple.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted children, Victor Churn and Elaine Willis, both of Atlanta, Ga.; her loving grandchildren, Jon Temple, Jamal Temple, Victavia Churn, Victoria Churn, Russell Willis, Brian Willis, and Michal Fullwood; her amazing great-grandchildren, Lina Temple, Zion Temple, Jon Temple, and Jamal Temple; sister-in-law, Joyce; a special nephew, Colier Byron; special cousins, Janice Francis, Barbara Temple, and Sharron Payne, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation was held from noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 26, 2024, at Barnes & Greer Funeral Services in Adel. A Celebration of Life was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at Freedom Worship Center in Lenox.
