Mr. Jason Warren, 51

Mr. Jason Warren, 51, of Adel, Georgia passed away on November 25, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.  He was born on November 8, 1972 in Albany, Georgia to Tony Warren and Ginger McNease Warren.

Having grown up in Colquitt, Georgia, Jason graduated from Miller County High School.  He was also a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and was a true Bulldog fan.  It was at UGA that Jason obtained his four years of pharmaceutical training, and he worked at Chancy Drugs in Adel as a pharmacist for many years. He resided in Adel for the past 23 years.

Jason was a member of First Baptist Church, Adel, where he proudly served as a deacon for many years.  He had a special love for children and served in numerous positions in the children’s ministry including Sunday School teacher, Awana instructor, and Vacation Bible School recreation leader.  He truly had a gift of service that was unequaled and loved any opportunity to be involved in God’s kingdom work.  In addition to his involvement in his church, he was a member of The Gideons International and was passionate about his work with this organization.

He was an amazing husband, father, son and brother.  He had an humble, mild-mannered personality and a spirit of service. Nobody loved his family and church more than he did.

Jason is survived by his wife of 23 years, Joanne Bernatchez Warren; his four sons, Mark, Danny, Casey and Sam, all of Adel; his father, Tony Warren and step-mother, Stacy Warren of Bainbridge; brother, Josh (Jessica) Warren of Kingsland; aunt, Sherrie (Duren) Williams of Colquitt; step-sister, Morgan Bulger of Attapulgus; two cousins, Russ and Mitch Williams (who grew up like brothers to Jason); Russ (Bonnie) Williams; Mitch (Lori) Williams; and several nieces & nephews. Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Ginger McNease Warren.

A celebration of life was held Sunday, November 26, 2023 at First Baptist Church Adel with Dr. Neal Sweet officiating.
