Mr. Ed Jackson, 74

Mr. Ed Jackson, age 74, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on November 15, 2023 at Pruitt Health Magnolia Manor in Moultrie, Georgia.  Mr. Jackson was born on January 26, 1949 in Colquitt County and was the son of the late James Roy Jackson and Myrtice Louise Hancock Jackson.  He lived most of his life in Colquitt County and the last 20 years in Cook County.  He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and was retired from the Cook County Road Department.

Mr. Jackson is survived by two nieces, Diane Pendarvis Nipper and Pamela Sue Pendarvis Llonas; two nephews, John Glenn Pendarvis and Christopher Webb Pendarvis; several great nieces and great nephews; and a wonderful church family at New Life Baptist Church.  Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda Sue Jackson Pendarvis and one niece, Penny Lee Pendarvis.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on November 19, 2023 at the New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Payne and Rev. Donnie Duncan officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers were Phil Merwin, Bobby Morrell, Eric McDaniel, Kris McDaniel, Kevin Strickland and Dane Sharpe. Visitation took place at New Life Baptist Church from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Larry Corbett sang “Sweet Beaulah Land,” the New Life Church Choir sang “What a Meeting” and the congregation sang “The Family of God.”
