Ms. Jewell Robinson, 95

Jewell Robinson, 95, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Community Hospice at St. Vincent Medical Center Riverside. Ms. Robinson was born September 12, 1928, in Anniston, Alabama to the late Alvin Thomas Cain and Lessie Anne Teague Cain. She loved reading the bible, attending church, serving others, spending time with family and friends, and taking long walks while making new friends along the way.  After retiring from A & P Grocery Company, she became a caregiver and a prayer warrior for the sick or elderly and her family and loving grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Michael Robinson, grandson, Jason Matthew Roberts, sister, Earline Webb, and brothers Thomas, Joseph, and James “Buck” Cain along with their loving brother and sisters-in-law.

Survivors include son, Mark, daughter-in-law, Tina, son Kenneth, Jr. (Kenny), daughter, Marie, grandchildren, Emily (Jason), Mallory (Blake), Kacey (JD), Sara (Jason), Adam, Michael (Kendall), Melody (Chris), Robbie, and Lee (Eunice) as well as many wonderful great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Collectively, our lives, past and present, were made richer by her enduring love and laughter.

A graveside service was held Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Sparks City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com. Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
