Mrs. Juanita Fender, 93

Mrs. Juanita Fender, age 93, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on October 15, 2023 at Summerhill Senior Living Community in Perry, Georgia.  She was born on July 15, 1930 in Cook County to the late Leonard and Jewel Rebecca Pope Joiner.  Mrs. Fender lived all of her life in Cook County and she was retired from Adel Banking Company where she worked as a teller and also was the head teller for the Sparks branch.  She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church

Mrs. Fender is survived by her son, Ira Fender of Adel; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Donald Stuckey of Perry; two grandchildren and their spouses: Billy and Kimberly Stuckey of Perry, Sarah Stuckey and Vicki Self of Unadilla, Georgia; a great-grandchild, Liam of Perry; a brother, Len Joiner of Sparks, Georgia; and a sister, Ellen Graham of Adel.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur “Billy” Fender, Jr.; a brother, Lowell Joiner; and three sisters: Opal Lee Bennett, Lillian McDaniel and Chlois Lollis.

The funeral service for Mrs. Fender was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Antioch Methodist Church with Rev. Christy Bandy and Rev. Jake Webster officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.  The visitation took place Wednesday evening, October 18, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home.  New Tradition sang “Amazing Grace” and “Far Side Banks of Jordan”.  Billy Stuckey, David White, Kirk McDaniel, Steve Newberne, Ken Shain and Dr. Rodney Tyson served as pallbearers.  Flowers were accepted and memorials may be made to Antioch Methodist Church in honor of Mrs. Fender.
