Mrs. Jamie Flanders, 44

Mrs. Jamie Flanders, 44 of Adel, Georgia passed away October 9, 2023 at the Tift Regional Medical Center. She was born July 9, 1979 in Valdosta, Georgia.  She lived most of her life in Cook County and was of the Baptist faith.  Mrs. Flanders was a secretary at the Dixon Peanut Plant in Alapaha, Georgia.

Mrs. Flanders is survived by her husband, Michael “Mike” Flanders of Adel; her son and daughter-in-law, Colt and Brittaney Flanders of Cordele, Georgia; her daughter and her fiancé, Jessi Raper and John “J.C.” Baldree of Sparks, Georgia; one grandchild, Hadley Flanders of Cordele; her father and step-mother, James and Julia Lewis of Adel; two sisters: Suzie Melear of Macon, Georgia and Joy Weeks and her “Special” brother-in-law, Pat Weeks of Adel; two nieces, Morgan Weeks, Julie Griffin and nephew Jacob Morgan, all of Adel; and her coworker and  friend, Patrick Philpot of Nashville, Georgia.  She was preceded in death by one son, Gage Flanders and her sister, Peggy Lewis.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel, Georgia.  “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “I Am” and “Bless the Broken Road” were played at the service.  In keeping with Mrs. Flanders wishes she was cremated.
