Mrs. Sheila Purvis, 64

Sheila Purvis, 64 of Sparks passed away Sunday September 17, 2023 at her home. Sheila was born September 30, 1958 in Adel to the late J. D. & Eleanor Rountree Brown. She was a member of Massee Baptist Church and enjoyed working with the children on the Wednesday night church services. Sheila spent many years working at the Chaserville Mall, that is all she knew was working and cleaning. She enjoyed riding their golf carts and spending time with her grand babies.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Purvis of Sparks; children, Michael (Angelica) Hood of Adel, James (Jenny) Hood of Adel, Jeffrey (Becky) Hood of Adel, and Madison Deal of Adel; grandchildren, Angel Hood, Mikey Hood, Molly Hood, Presley Hood, Kinsley Hood, and Oliver Deal; several nieces & nephews; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Brown of Nashville; and her best friend and caregiver, Teresa Brown of Nashville. Sheila was preceded in death by her former spouse, Jeff Hood.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Massee Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Bussey, and Rev. Phillip Badley officiating.
