Mrs. Betty Cooper, 84

Betty Cooper, 84, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023. Mrs. Cooper was born March 24, 1939 on a farm in Moultrie to the late Luther & Eugenia Copeland Columbus.

Survivors include her adoring son, Steve Lamar (Sandra) Cooper; daughters-in-law, Angela Cooper Jacobson, and Brenda Meeler Cooper; 3 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her loving husband, Junior Ray Cooper of 57 years; sons, Billy Ray Cooper and Kenneth Lynn Cooper; and grandsons Charles Steven Cooper and Kevin Michael Cooper. She will be truly missed.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Berlin, Ga. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com. Purvis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
