Mr. Bennie Shivers, 78

Bennie Shivers, 78, of Sparks, GA passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Mr. Shivers was born in Hahira, GA on May 21, 1945 to the late Sidney & Nellie Miley Shivers. Mr. Shivers was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church of Sparks. After working 20 years as a supervisor at AAMCO Fabrics, Mr. Shivers went on to open Shivers Welding and Trailers, which he ran for 24 years.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Shivers of Sparks; children, James (Romonda) Shivers of Nashville, Cyndi (Chet) Kennerly of Florida, Linda (David) Baker of Adel, Michael (Lauren) Duren of Hahira, Stacy Lindley of Raleigh, NC, and Tracy (Michael) Alligood of Leesburg; grandchildren, J.R. Shivers, Justin Shivers, Tyler Shivers, Kirstin Shivers, Jayla Shivers, Ali Shivers, Steven Meadows, Lindsey Meadows, Elle (Christian) Walch, Carley Watkins, Brittany Turner, Kaitlyn Turner, Jett Duren, Jack Lindley and Eliza Lindley; great-grandchildren, Brodie Shivers, Everett Walch, Vivian Walch and Elle Watkins; sisters, Louise Green and Faye Staton, both of Adel. Mr. Shivers was preceded in death by his former spouse, Nila Shivers; and sister, Dorothy Griffin.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Maranatha Baptist Church in Sparks with Pastor Rick Baldree officiating. Interment followed at Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
