This union was blessed with the birth of their three beloved children: Oscar D. Patterson, Jr., Melinda Patterson, and Veronica Patterson. Oscar’s dedication to his family was unwavering, and his role as a provider and a pillar of strength was truly remarkable.

Oscar’s faith journey was a cornerstone of his life, and he found solace and guidance at Harrell Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. His commitment was evident through his role as the Chairman of the Deacon Board, where he shared his spiritual wisdom and led devotional services that resonated deeply with all who had the privilege of experiencing them. His joyful spirit was often expressed through hymns like “The Fire Just Keep on Burning,” “Oh, It’s In My Veins,” and “That’s Alright.”
