Mr. Jim Hendrix, 63

Mr. Jim Hendrix, age 63, of Adel, Georgia, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 9, 2023.  He was born in Greeneville, Tennessee on February 11, 1960.  His parents were the late James Olear Hendrix, Sr. and Grace Helen Perkinson Hendrix.

Mr. Hendrix is survived by his loving wife, Beth Hendrix of Adel; a daughter and son-in-law, Liza and Jason Tillman of Adel; a grandson, William Connor Tillman of Adel; and four sisters: Cheri Thompson of Westerville, Ohio, Linda Young of Mountain View, Arizona, Holly Hirsbrunner of Cullman, Alabama and Libby Saunders of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Ann LeFevre of Adel.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, James Jude Tillman.

He was a graduate of Greeneville (TN) High School and the University of Tennessee.  Born and raised in East Tennessee it was only natural that he would grow up to be a Tennessee Volunteer.  As a young boy he went to UT home football games with his dad and continued holding season tickets for many years.  Jim spent a great deal of his leisure tie enjoying fishing, hunting and hiking a great portion of the Appalachian trail.  His hiking buddies called themselves the “Corps of Insanity.”  Jim was also a member of The Palmetto Guards and the Ft. Sumter Camp #1269 SCV in Charleston.  Mr. Hendrix attends Adel Wesleyan Church and is a member of the French (Protestant) Huguenot Church in Charleston, South Carolina.  He was a manager for Motorola Solutions.

A memorial service for Mr. Hendrix will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Adel Wesleyan Church with Rev.
