Mr. Gary Franklin Graham, 76

Gary Franklin Graham, 76 of Adel passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Langdale Hospice in Valdosta.  Gary was born on December 9, 1946 in Cook County and was a member of Beulah Holiness Baptist Church.  He sang with several gospel groups Changing Times, New Covenant, Happy Travelers, Reapers, and Faithful Servants with his baby sister Pam.  He loved his family, grandchildren, watching Gunsmoke, listening to Jimmy Swaggart, and eating bologna and tomato sandwiches.  He learned from W. J. Bryan about heavy equipment and dug foundations for Nashville Mills and Vienna Hospital. Gary also worked for 27 years with the Cook County Road Department.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Judy Graham; son Eric (Vickie) Graham of Adel; daughter Ann (Mark) Dampier of Adel; mother Martha Graham of Adel; grandchildren Ashley Graham, Lee Ann Dampier, Zach Graham, Tommy Dampier, and Breanna Graham all of Adel; brother Ted Graham of Adel; sisters Sharon (Jerry) Hamner of Adel and Pam (Tony) Purvis of Adel; brother-in-law Judge Hubert Lindsey of Brooks County; sister-in-laws Judy Bryan of Brooks County and Elizabeth Wood of Valdosta.  He is preceded in death by his father Eugene Graham.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Beulah Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Walker and Rev. James Rice officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
