Mrs. Imogene Shirley Babb, 85

Mrs. Imogene Shirley Babb, 85 of Eastman, GA passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Babb was born September 10, 1937 to the late Robert Carson & Irene Brooks. She was a member of New Vision Ministry and loved her family very much. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, especially to the mountains, shopping and was an amazing cook. Mrs. Babb worked for 5 years at Days Deli, and at one point of her life at the Tucson AZ airport was a food server.

Survivors include her children, Terry Albert (Candria) Shirley of Moultrie, and Robin Jo Simmons – Pescara (Gerry) of Adel; stepchildren, Eric Babb of Montana, Michelle Miller of Eastman, GA, Yvonne (Jim) Marquardt of Florida, grandchildren, Rebecca Taylor, Serena Taylor, Sarah Shirley, Melvin Simmons, Amy Mullis, Christopher Cannington, Aaron Shirley, Crystal Jarvis, and Amber Horne; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and step grandchildren Tia Studstill, Victoria Hensley, Chip Miller, Christian Miller, Elizabeth Lewis and Megan Marquardt; brother, Herman Davis of AL; sisters, Joyce Snelgrove Whatley of Eastman, and Barbara Munday of OH; and several nieces & nephews. Mrs. Babb was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years and the father of her four children, Albert Horace Shirley; her second husband of 28 years, Aaron Babb; daughters, Cynthia Renee Cannington, and Tracy Lynn Howell, stepson Stephen Babb.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m prior to the service. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com.
