Henry “Olan” Luke, 84

Henry “Olan” Luke, 84 of Tifton, formerly born and raised in Nashville passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Olan was born August 28, 1938 to the late Jesse & Naomi Hancock Luke. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from Chaparral Boats. He was of Primitive Baptist Faith and loved going to Concord Primitive Baptist Church. Olan enjoyed listening to country music, especially George Jones. He also enjoyed fishing and was a Nascar fan. Olan loved his family and everyone else. He was a generous man and a dedicated father & husband.

Survivors include his children Mike (Pam) Luke of Alapaha, Cindy Cole of Nashville, Lanette (Ren) Estes of Tifton, Melissa (Jay) Evans of Nashville, and Eric (Stacey) Luke of Tifton; grandchildren, Michael (Mattie) Luke, Jesse Luke, Blake Luke, Brandon Thompson, Shane (Tina) Thompson, Adam (Paris) Estes; Ashley (Charles) Thompson, Cody Luke, and Adam (Jennifer) Cole; several great grandchildren; one brother, Ray (Evelyn) Luke of Tifton; several nieces & nephews; and sister in law Gladys Luke. Olan was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ellie Luke; grandson Corey Cole; great grandchild Tiyan Cole; brothers Waylon Luke, and Wayne Luke; sisters Kate Griner, and Nell Meritt; and son in law, Bo Cole.

Funeral services were held Tuesday September 27, 2022 at Purvis Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Sandlin officiating. Interment followed at Oakey Grove Cemetery. Condolence may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com. Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
