Mrs. Chlois Joiner Lollis, 86
Mrs. Chlois Joiner Lollis, age 86, of Adel, Georgia, passed away at her home on July 31, 2022. She was born in Sparks, Georgia on June 6, 1936 and was the daughter of Leonard and Jewell Rebecca Pope Joiner. Mrs. Lollis lived in Cook County all of her life where she was a member of Living Way Baptist Church. She worked for 48 years in the Cook County Clerk of Superior Court’s office and served as Clerk of Court for much of that time.
Mrs. Lollis is survived by her three daughters: Kathy L. and Bart Greer of Valdosta, GA, Karen and Art Bradley of Brooksville, FL, Cindy and Phillip Robinson of Adel; eleven grandchildren: Kelly and Stephen Register of Valdosta, Amanda and Mason Caracciolo of Winter Garden, FL, Rob Bradley of Brooksville, Chris and Teara Powell of Cecil, GA, Karrie and Doug Bargeron of Valdosta, Heather and Chad Hatfield of Tampa, FL, Tyler and Alexis Elliott of Pensacola, FL, Ross Elliott of Adel, Cole Elliott of Adel, Eireann and Cason Conger of Desoto, TX, and Claire Robinson of Arlington, TX; sixteen great-grandchildren: Luke Register, Bradley Register, Allie Caracciolo, Marshall Caracciolo, Maddie Caracciolo, Terri Powell, Maebry Powell, Charlee Powell, Riley Bargeron, Zoey Hatfield, Hudson Hatfield, Hadley Hatfield, Aubri Elliott, Olivia Elliott, Noah Elliott and Easton Conger; a brother, Len Joiner of Sparks, GA; two sisters: Juanita Fender and Ellen Graham, both of Adel; special friends: Catlyn Ballard and Kennedy Gregory; and a special caregiver, Joy Moore. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lollis was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. “Bill” Lollis”, a brother, Lowell Joiner; and two sisters: Opal Lee Bennett and Lillian McDaniel.
The funeral service was held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Vaughan officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex in Adel with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating. Chris Powell, Tyler Elliott, Ross Elliott, Cole Elliott, Luke Register and Bradley Register served as pallbearers. New Tradition sang “How Great Thou Art” and “In the Garden” at the chapel service and “Amazing Grace” at the graveside. “Take My Hand, Precious Lord” was also included at the service. Visitation was held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Boone Funeral Home. The family would like to offer a special “thank you” to Regency Southerncare Hospice.
