Mrs. Kay Moore, 80

Mrs. Kay Moore, age 80, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on July 15, 2022 at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon, Georgia.  She was born on May 7, 1942 in Adel.  Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late Leaf L. Davis and the late Flora Belle Young Davis.  She lived in Cook County most of her life where she was a member of Adel First Assembly of God.  She was retired from the Cook County Board of Education where she worked in the school cafeterias.

Mrs. Moore is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Joey and Donna Moore of Pelham, Georgia, and Eric and Julie Moore of Adel; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim Williams and Terry Chitwood of Adel; two grandchildren: Garrett Williams of Adel and Colton Williams of Barney, Georgia; one great-grandchild, Kyleigh McClain of Perry, Georgia; five step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Robbie and Marilyn Davis of Adel; a sister, Sue Blanton of Adel; six sisters-in-law: Kathryn Davis of Sparks, Georgia, Joy Moore of Adel, Willene Corbett of Adel, Betty Myers of Sparks, Joan Myers of Davenport, Florida and Carolyn Moore of Adel; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franklin Moore; two brothers: Edwin R. Davis and Ralph D. Davis; and a sister, Yvonne Thomas.

A graveside service for Mrs. Moore was held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Crossroads Cemetery with Rev. William Davis officiating.  Garrett Williams, Colton Williams, Phillip Turner, Austin Turner, William Cutshaw, Kenny Davis, Timmy Davis and Randy Davis will serve as pallbearers.  “I Can Only Imagine” will be included in the special music played at the graveside.  Visitation was held at Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.) from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM on the day of the service.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com.  Boone Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
