Mattie L. Clements Martin, 93
Mrs. Mattie L. Clements Martin, 93, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away at her granddaughter’s home on April 25, 2022. Mrs. Martin was born on January 17, 1929 in Colquitt County to the late Ivey Lane Hart and Ola Gay Hart. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was of the Pentecostal Faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Lamar and Winona Clements of Covington, Georgia, and Dan and Barbara Clements of Sparks; five grandchildren: Dale and Christi Clements, Kasey and Joshua Hutchinson, Andrea and Trey Rentz, Melissa and Rusty Harris, Michelle Hester Green and Jackie Ellison Green; thirteen great-grandchildren: Olivia and Lawson Stewart, Butler Clements, Samuel Clements, Parker and Kaitlyn Hutchinson, Ryleigh Hutchinson, Dalton Rentz, Landon Rentz, Anna Kelley, Laura Lee Johnson, John Griffin Harris, Greyson Harris, Brentney and Dave Smith, Josh and Bree Green; three great-great-grandchildren: Jocelyn Smith, Jaxon Smith and Ruby Wynn Hutchinson; two brothers: Don Hart of White Springs, Florida and Wayne Hart of Jasper, Florida; one sister, Molly Long of St. Simon’s Island, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Gary Clements; her second husband, Rev. Don Martin; her daughter, Linda Clements; six brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in the south chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel) with Rev. Gary James officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will include Dale Clements, Butler Clements, Samuel Clements, Dalton Rentz, Landon Rentz, Josh Green and Parker Hutchinson. “I Want Us to Be Together in Heaven,” “In the Garden” and “Amazing Grace” will be played at the service.
