Wilda Taylor, 84

Mrs. Wilda Taylor, 84, of Adel, Georgia passed away on April 4, 2022 at The Orchard at Stone Creek in Valdosta, Georgia.  She was born on August 13, 1937 in Adel and her parents were the late Robert Melburn Alderman and Sallie Folsom Alderman.  She was a lifelong resident of Cook County where she was a homemaker and a member of Antioch United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Pam Taylor of Adel; four grandchildren: Caleb Vining of Adel, Anna and George Grantham of Adel, Austin Taylor of Adel and Carli Vining of Valdosta; three great-grandchildren: Everly Taylor, Elliott Taylor and Colton Vining, all of Adel; and a son-in-law, Bruce Vining of Adel.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Bruce Taylor; her daughter, Iris Vining; and two sisters, Faye A. Fletcher and Ennis Dean.

The funeral service for Mrs. Taylor took place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Antioch United Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Dickerson, Rev. Rich Wardwell, and Elder Thad Marshall officiating.  Interment followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.  Steve Meders sang “The Midnight Cry” and Sharon Mosley played piano; “Jealous of the Angels” was also be played at the service.  Active pallbearers included Austin Taylor, Caleb Vining, George Grantham, Jordy Taylor, Paul Weeks and Mitchell Bennett; honorary pallbearers included Leroy Howell, Roy Williams, Bill Barton, Morris Whittle, Carl Hall, Buddy Rogers and John Henry Surrency.   Condolences may be expressed to the Taylor family online ay www.boonefunerals.com.  –Boone Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Taylor.
