Frank A. Swearingen, 86
Mr. Frank A. Swearingen, 86, of Adel, Georgia passed away at the Colquitt Regional Medical in Moultrie, Georgia on March 17, 2022. Mr. Swearingen was born March 20, 1935 in Zephyrhills, Florida to the late William Clyde Swearingen and Ruby Mae Cook Swearingen Blitch. He lived most
of his life in Cook County, was of the Baptist faith and was a retired truck driver.
Mr. Swearingen is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Cynthia Swearingen of Ocilla, Georgia; three daughters and one son-in-law; Helen Swearingen of Adel, Tina Louise Elmore and Andrew C. Stietenroth, III of Adel, and Debbie Chambers of Pitts, Georgia; 10 grandchildren,
15 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Albert Wayne Thompson of Sparks, Georgia, Sidney Joseph Thompson of Georgia and Robert Patrick Thompson of Florida; five sisters: Bonnie Holley of Adel, Wanda Childress of North Carolina, Gail Stevens of
Nashville, Georgia, Susan Manders of Tifton, Georgia and Nancy Carol Thompson of Savannah, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Hair, two brothers, Clyde Swearingen and Kenneth Lewis Thompson, and one sister, Peggy Walker.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Hendley offi ciating. A graveside service followed at 3:00 PM at the Nichols Cemetery in Oxford, Florida. Visitation was conducted at Boone Funeral Home one hour prior to the funeral service. Special music for the service included “I Saw the Light,” “Beulah Land” and “Teddy Bear.” Family members served as pallbearers.
