John Edward Fulp, 84

Mr. John Edward Fulp, 84 of Hahira, Georgia passed away on February 25, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Fulp was born on October 28, 1937 in Cook County to the late Carl Grover Fulp, Sr. and Lula Lasseter Fulp. He was a retired farmer and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mr. Fulp lived all of his life in Cook County, was a Mason for 60 years and a Shriner for 49 years.

Mr. Fulp is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara LeGette Fulp of Hahira; one son and daughter-in-law, Toney and Judy Fulp of Hahira, Georgia; three daughters and sonsin-law: Sherry and Everett Franks of Lenox, Debi and Ken Goff of Hahira, Tracy and Chris Cornelius of Hahira; 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard and Valeria Fulp of Melbourne, Florida and Raymond and Nancy Fulp of Tifton, Georgia; sister-in-law, Patsy H. Fulp of Riceville, Tennessee; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Grover Fulp, Jr. and two sisters, Betty F. Atkinson and Bonnie F. Bayman.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating and Mr. Franklin Luke providing the committal prayer. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Visitation at the church preceded the service between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Kyle Goff, Ty Goff, Troy Williams, Brandon Hilliard, Nicholas Young, Anderson Glenn, Zane Folsom, Chris Powell, Bryan Gregory, Jon Thompson, Bobby Dixon and Cory Hillman served as pallbearers. Kandace Franks sang “Jealous of the Angels;” Gary Surrency sang How Great Thou Art” with piano accompaniment by Lisa Surrency; and a recording of The Believers singing “Daddy’s Hands” was also played at the service.
