Charles Allen Hough, 79

Mr. Charles Allen Hough, 79 of Valdosta passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center. He served in the United States Air Force for 30 years and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. Mr. Hough also worked for 11 years as supervisor at Valdosta University and owned and operated Cook County Airport.

Survivors include his wife, Filomena Hough of Valdosta; children, James Allen Hough of Fort Walton Beach, Fl, Kenneth Lee Hough of Valdosta, Christina (Mehdi) Mezzour of Dallas, Tx; Maria Lisa (Ricky) Vergara of Los Angeles, Rebecca (Paul) Ziemer of San Diego, and Jeffrey Hough of Valdosta; 13 grandchildren, Kevin (Cara) McSparren Ava of Dallas, TX, Jade Hough of Dallas, TX, Ryan, Lauren, and Lindsey Vergara of CA, Dylan, Cody, and Sadie Ziemer of San Diego, Zachary, Sofia, and Zane Mezzour of Dallas, TX, and Aidan, and Gracie Hough of Valdosta; great grandchildren, Autumn Hough, Mila Tiquia, and Liam Tiquia.

Funeral Mass was held Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Johns Catholic Church with Father Jason Adams officiating. Interment followed at Riverview Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com. Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
