Dave McDonald, Sr., 82

Mr. Dave McDonald, Sr., 82 of Sparks passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Mr. McDonald was born July 31, 1939 in Hahira to the late Tresser William & Ada McGrahanon McDonald. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Sparks Baptist Church. Mr. McDonald was a licensed private pilot, and he survived a mid-air collision in Tifton. He was in consumer finance business for 58 years and was owner of Adel Financial Services. Mr. McDonald loved the land, watching sunsets, fishing, growing & baling hay, gardening, and raising cattle.

Survivors include his wife, Lana McDonald of Sparks; sisters, Inez Faucher of Winder, Ga, and Nancy McDonald of Jupiter, Fl; and several nieces & nephews. Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his son, David McDonald; two brothers, Vic McDonald, and Lloyd McDonald; and sister, Ellen Wassmuth.

A graveside service was held Monday, January 17, 2022 at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira with Pastor Karl Wassmuth officiating. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com. Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
