Zoe Myers, Marisela Trejo, and Maria Hardman
by Cook County Family Connection
Our Director Zoe Myers and Maria Hardman (B&H Publishing) were guest speakers at a gathering of 60 Hispanic families at the RESA Office in Lenox on Friday morning, Sept. 20.
Zoe presented an overview of the work of Family Connection, and provided literacy resources and bilingual storybooks for each family.
Maria announced her exciting Spanish newspaper (El Informador) that will be distributed monthly across 20 counties in South Georgia and North Florida.
Special thanks to Marisela Trejo (DOE Migrant Education Director) for serving as the Spanish interpreter for the presentations, and for including us in this educational family event.
EDITORS NOTE – El Informador may be read online at www.periodicoelinformador.com.
