Son of Cook High graduate competes at 2024 Olympics

Geary Reed and his son William (Will) are shown last week after arriving and settling into Olympic Village at the Paris 2024 Games.
Best wishes to William Reed (Will), who will be competing in track this week at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Will’s father is Geary Reed, a 1992 Cook High School graduate who competed in track and field in high school (so nice symmetry there!), and Will’s mother is Tam-Malone Reed. The family lives in Hawaii.
Will’s proud grandmother is Mrs. Rosa Reed, 89, of Lenox (his late grandfather is Walter James Reed).
Last week, Will participated in the opening boat ceremony on the River Seine. He was in the delegation of the Marshall Islands.
Mrs. Reed said she is looking forward to watching TV to see her grandson compete for medal glory on Aug. 3.
Mrs. Reed added that she and her sister Marie Moore of Lenox visited the family in Hawaii for a week for Mrs. Reed’s birthday. They got back on June 9. Marie works on the custodial staff at Cook High School.

Wow I’m so proud to hear this, I know James Reed would be proud!!! As Lenox is way to go!!
