Order of the Eastern Star donates to Boys and Girls Club
The Order of the Eastern Star, Pansy Chapter 119 of Adel, and the District 9 Masons recently donated games and balls to the Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Cook County Area.
Pansy Chapter 119 is part of the Prince Hall Grand Chapter O.E.S. Jurisdiction of Georgia’s Valdosta No. 9. District 9 serves Cook, Brooks, and Lowndes Counties.
On Sept. 8, 9, and 10, 2023, Valdosta No. 9 hosted the Prince Hall Weekend at the Rainwater Conference Center in Valdosta.
Andrey Warner Pinckney, Order of the Eastern Star Grand Queen for the State of Georgia, came up with the idea of a fundraiser for a deserving community organization.
Ollie McKinnon, Order of the Eastern Star District Worthy Matron; Shalanda Mathis, Worthy Matron, and Carolyn Walton, Past Worthy Matron, recently presented the play items to the Boys and Girls Club’s staff and young members.
