Woman allegedly throws boiling water on man

Robbie Ann Davis, 70, 112 Sonja Drive, Cecil, was arrested Oct. 13, 2022, by the Cecil Police Department and charged with aggravated assault and failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge.
According to a warrant taken in the case, at about 3 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Sonja Drive address, Ms. Davis assaulted a man by throwing boiling water upon him. The victim had second degree burns.
Ms. Davis also was arrested on a Cook County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a criminal trespass charge. According to the warrant, Ms. Davis did not appear in court at the call of the case on Jan. 7, 2022. She had a Lawson Lane, Cecil, address listed on the warrant. District Attorney Chase Studstill signed the bench warrant, approved by Chief Superior Court Judge Clayton Tomlinson. “Bond is hereby set in the amount of none,” the warrant states.
On Oct. 15, a Magistrate Court judge set bond in the aggravated assault case at $8,000 (property). Bond conditions include no contact with the victim; do not go within 500 feet of him.
According to information reported during the first appearance/bond hearing in Magistrate Court, Ms. Davis has completed school through the 12th grade, has resided seven years at her current home address, and is not employed. She has requested a court-appointed defense attorney. The case is pending in Cook County Superior Court.
