Walmart has awarded the Adel-Cook Recreation Department a grant for $2,000 that will be used to purchase sports equipment and other recreation-related items.
Cook County Commissioner Audie Rowe applied for the community grant from Walmart on behalf of the Adel-Cook Recreation Department.
Commissioner Rowe spoke highly of Adel’s Walmart Manager Marcus Johnston and his commitment to our local community.
“Marcus is such an awesome person and is always so willing to offer our community assistance whenever a need arises,” Rowe said. “Adel and Cook County is very fortunate to have him at the helm of our local Walmart store, and we appreciate everything that he does for us.”
Through their community outreach program, Walmart seeks to create value in the communities around the world where they operate by strengthening them through local grants, which support programs that help them strive.
