BREAKING NEWS: Motorcyclist dead following high-speed chase
A Ray City man died early this morning after he lost control of his motorcycle during a high speed vehicle chase by law enforcement in the area of Hutchinson-Parrish Road in Cook County.
Authorities said the chase began in Berrien County with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office in pursuit and ended in Cook with the motorcycle losing control. Radio traffic indicated that the motorcycle was traveling at speeds of around 130 mph.
Cook County Coroner Tim Purvis identified the deceased man as Jason Miller, 44, of Ray City.
Purvis pronounced Miller dead at the scene at 2:29 a.m. Wednesday. Reportedly, LifeFlight was contacted, but then cancelled with the coroner called to the scene. Miller died as the result of extensive injuries from the crash, Purvis said. The deceased man’s next of kin have been notified, so the Adel News is releasing his name.
The Georgia State Patrol, Tifton Post, worked the accident. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office also became involved towards the end of the incident.
