Willette “Tutta” Ensley, 82, of Sparks, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Thursday, July 7, 2022. She was born November 14, 1939 in Cook County. She retired from teaching math at Cook High School and Cook Junior High School. She played piano and organ in church and later served as pastor’s wife when her husband Dillard was ordained in 1984.
Willette is survived by their son David Ensley of Kathleen, Georgia, his wife Gina, their sons Daniel (Jasmine) and Andrew, and Daniel and Jasmine’s daughter Ivy Ensley. She is also survived by in-laws Johnny Stalvey, James Ensley, Linda Ensley Morrell, and Benny Ensley, as well as many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents Delmas Noah and Ruth Taylor of Cecil, Georgia, her sister Karen Stalvey of Hahira, Georgia, her infant brother Delmas Michael Taylor, her husband of nearly 57 years Dillard Ensley, and their daughter Elizabeth “Beth” Ensley.
Graveside services were held Monday, July 11, 2022 at Woodlawn City Cemetery with Dr. Neal Sweet officiating. In lieu of flowers and food, please consider donations be made to First Baptist Church Adel or to the Cook County Historical Society.
